Wat Lat Sing

History
Wat Lat Sing is an old temple formerly called Wat Ratcha Sing. According to a story passed down locally, King Naresuan built it after winning an elephant-back battle and learning that Princess Suphankanlaya, held hostage in Burma, had been executed. The story says the temple was built to dedicate merit to the princess and avenge the death of the Maha Uparat, who had been killed by the king’s halberd.
