💡 Why don’t we learn about money from childhood?
I have kept coming back to this question. My name is Nok — Waranyu Thirakomen (born in 1995). I have often wondered why we work so hard when life is finite. Even so, one goal has always been clear to me: to improve the financial well-being of people in Thailand. I want everyone to have the chance to learn about money as early as possible, because those skills can shape a person’s life.
🎓 Where my journey began
I completed secondary school at Suankularb Wittayalai School (OSK132) and earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from the Faculty of Business Administration at the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI).
After graduating, I began by teaching business subjects and entered the Young Technopreneur 2018 startup competition. My team reached the final 20. We did not win, but I gained valuable experience in business models and structured problem-solving.
⚙️ From factory work to sales: experiences that shaped me
My first job was as a Financial Advisor (FA). I stayed for three months and learned that the role was mainly focused on selling insurance. That short experience introduced me to personal financial planning in a serious way, including tracking income and expenses and building savings.
I then moved into full-time work, starting as a Sales Coordinator at LED LIGHTING CO., LTD., handling documents and coordination. My Excel experience from an earlier job came in handy. After visiting the parent company, I moved into a Process Engineer role, overseeing a production line. The main focus was to reduce costs and waste, because in a factory, waste represents a significant loss of money.
Alongside my full-time jobs, I kept looking for extra income. I imported products from Japan and China to sell on Facebook, Shopee, and Lazada, and even tried growing cacti to sell—an idea that eventually lost the battle against mealybugs.
👔 Becoming a financial planner
When the company expanded into wealth management and I became more confident managing my own portfolio—with a mix of passive and active investing—I decided to pursue this field full-time. I began by earning the IC License (No. 135068).

🚀 A turning point: investing and fintech
In 2019, as markets were hit hard during the COVID-19 crisis, I began studying investing in depth. I read financial statements, studied fundamentals, and explored Thai and international stocks and crypto. After contracting COVID, I asked myself: “How much longer do I want to keep doing the same thing?”
That question led me to a Business Development role at INVESTIC Analytics Studio (formerly Quantsmith). My job was to help the company grow across sales, administration, content, HR, Facebook ad optimization, business intelligence, influencer marketing, project management, and business analysis. I also worked with several projects across the group:

“People often ask, ‘Is financial planning just about selling funds or insurance?’ That is like asking a doctor, ‘Is your job just to sell medicine?’ The answer is no. Financial planning helps turn dreams into practical goals—whether that is a home, retirement savings, or a child’s education fund. We are not here just to sell products; we are here to walk alongside you.”
Kanngongkanngoen is here to be a companion on your journey, helping turn confusion into understanding you can use in everyday life. We believe that financial planning does not start with money; it starts with your life goals.
