Wat Chulamanee

History
An ancient temple in Tha Chang, beside the Amphawa Canal where it continues into Khlong Phi Luak. It is said to date to the late Ayutthaya period, during the reign of King Prasat Thong. The account identifies Nai Talat Bang Chang as a woman named Noi, titled Thao Kaeo Pheluek (Noi), described as the progenitor of the Na Bang Chang royal lineage, and credits her with founding the temple. The area behind the original temple was once the residence of Khun Nak (Queen Amarindra, consort of King Rama I) and Khun Bunrod (Queen Sri Suriyendra, consort of King Rama II).
