Wat Amphawan Chetiyaram

History
The temple is next to King Rama II Memorial Park and is associated with the Bang Chang royal family. It is believed to have been built during the reign of King Rama I. The grounds were formerly residences of Luang Yokkrabat (later King Rama I) and Khun Nak (Queen Amarindra, consort of Rama I). The temple is also identified as the birthplace of King Rama II. Local belief holds that the site of the temple’s prang was once the house where Khun Nak gave birth to her son Khun Chim, who later became King Rama II.
