History
The site began as a small vegetarian hall. The abbot of Wat Leng Noei Yi in Bangkok and Thai-Chinese Buddhists developed it into a full temple covering 12 rai, dedicated in honour of Rama IX’s 50th year on the throne. Construction took 12 years. Rama IX granted permission for Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn to represent him at the temple’s opening celebration on 20 March B.E. 2551 (2008).
