Ban Wang Som Sa Community
History
The old riverside community is in Tha Pho Subdistrict along the Nan River. Citrus fruits known locally as som sa once grew abundantly here, giving the village its name, Wang Som Sa. Som sa is a citrus fruit with rough green skin like a lime and a sweet-sour flavor. Residents later formed a community enterprise and developed herbal ingredients into products for sale, including cosmetics, shower gel, soap, lotion, body scrub, and shampoo.
