Wat Santivanaram (Wat Dong Rai)

History
Wat Santivanaram, also known as Wat Dong Rai, is in Ban Chiang Subdistrict. It was built in 1942 (B.E. 2485), according to evidence from the ruins of an older temple. Villagers originally called it Wat Dong Rai because many rai groves grew in the area. The name was later changed to Wat Santivanaram, meaning “peaceful forest.”
