A domain is an internet resource that requires registration, a registrar account, and renewal. Holding a domain does not automatically mean owning a trademark or the entire website, so list each right separately.
Create a Domain Inventory
Record the domain name, expiry date, registrar, DNS administrator email, payer, and registrant name. Keep trademark evidence, website contracts, and hosting-account details separately.
Ask the Registrar What to Do After a Death
THNIC sets domain-registration policies and identifies the rights holder in the application information. For an inheritance-related transfer, ask the registrar or service provider and THNIC which documents they accept. Do not wait until the domain expires.
Plan Secure Access
Name a backup administrator and explain how to renew without sharing a central password. Review trademark ownership, content rights, and hosting contracts with a lawyer separately from the domain registration.
