Ya Kang Khanom 100-Year Community Floating Market

History
Ya Kang Khanom 100-Year Community Floating Market is an old riverside community with a long history. It was once an important economic and trading center for Narathiwat. At Ya Kang Pier, goods were exchanged and carried by cargo boats to places including Pattani, Sai Buri, Kelantan, Singapore, and Indonesia. These exchanges brought different communities together and contributed to a varied local food and dessert culture. Well-known community sweets include akoh, lupa teeka, and putu.
