Wat Uppakhut

History
The viharn houses Phra Uppakhut as its principal image, alongside oil murals depicting the Vessantara Jataka and reflecting northern Thai life. Each year the temple holds an alms-giving tradition for Phra Uppakhut at midnight on a full moon that falls on Wednesday, known as “Peng Puth.”
