The cave was once a meditation retreat for monks, including Phra Ajahn Mun Phurithatto. A statue of Phra Ajahn Mun Phurithatto now stands on the mountain. The walls and ceiling inside Tham Pha Jom are lined with striking stalactites and stalagmites.
