Wat Sothonwararam Worawihan

History
Wat Sothonwararam Worawihan is in the municipal area beside the Bang Pakong River. Built in the late Ayutthaya period and originally called Wat Hong, it houses Phra Phutthasothon, also known as Luang Pho Sothon, a revered seated Buddha image measuring 1.65 metres wide and 1.48 metres high. According to legend, the image floated down the river before being placed at the temple. The original image was beautiful, but cement was later applied to deter theft. Worshippers come to pay respect and apply gold leaf to the image.
