Wat Phra That Si Chom Thong
History
From Chiang Mai town, take the Chiang Mai–Hot Road for 58 kilometres. This is an important temple for Chom Thong and is revered throughout the North. A notable tradition is the procession of mai kham pho, or Bodhi-tree supports. In Lanna tradition, placing a support beside a Bodhi tree is considered a way to carry on Buddhism.
