Wat Phra Nang Din
History
Wat Phra Nang Din is in Wiang Subdistrict, 4 km from the district center via Highway 1148. Its principal Buddha image has no supporting pedestal. According to the local story on the page, residents once built a pedestal to raise the image onto, but could not lift it despite repeated attempts; the name Phra Nang Din (“Buddha seated on the ground”) is said to come from this story.
