Wat Chantaram

History
Wat Chantaram, also known as Wat Tha Sung, is in Nam Suem Subdistrict. It was originally built during the Ayutthaya period and had a small ordination hall. The hall contains murals depicting the life of the Buddha, attributed to local artists and believed to have been painted later. The temple also has a preaching seat made by Luang Pho Yai, who restored it in the early Rattanakosin period. Later, Phra Ratchapromyan (Luang Pho Ruesi Ling Dam), a well-known monk, greatly developed Wat Tha Sung.
