Wat Ban Phran

History
Located in Si Phran Subdistrict, the temple’s origin is told in an account by Luang Pu Chai Mongkhon of Ayutthaya: it was founded by the couple Nai Phan and Nang Ngoen and their son, Nai Krapuk Thong, between B.E. 1862 and 1870, toward the end of the Sukhothai period. The temple was later abandoned and covered by dense vegetation for more than 100 years. Hunters subsequently established a village in the area and worked together to restore it.
