The Prae City Pillar

History
The shrine is on Khum Doem Road in the town center. The new city pillar was built under a Ministry of Interior policy in B.E. 2535. It stands beside an old stone inscription about the construction of Wat Sri Bun Rueang during the reign of King Ramkhamhaeng. The temple no longer exists; the site is now occupied by the provincial prison. The inscription is in the Thai Ahom script.
