Phra Pathom Chedi National Museum

History
Located within the grounds of Phra Pathom Chedi on its south side, the museum is a two-storey building in an applied Thai architectural style. At first, collected antiquities were kept in the cloister around Phra Pathom Chedi. In B.E. 2454, they were moved to a viharn opposite the ubosot. In B.E. 2477, the site was elevated to national museum status under the Fine Arts Department. The source places the antiquities in the 12th–16th Buddhist centuries.
