History

The shrine is a significant historical and cultural site on a hill at the northern end of Sai Ri Beach in Sai Ri Subdistrict. It honors Admiral Prince Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak, affectionately known as “Sadet Tia” and revered as the Father of the Thai Navy. The source also notes that he studied traditional medicine, was proficient in treating illnesses, and provided care free of charge under the name “Mo Phon” or “Doctor Phon.”
