History

Ko Lon is about 5 kilometres from the Phuket coast. Visitors can rent a boat to the island from Rawai Beach Pier. Most residents are Muslim and work in fishing and agriculture. Tourism activities include learning about local life and knowledge, painting and dyeing batik fabric with natural dyes, making local desserts such as khanom ko and khanom tom wrapped in coconut leaves, and catching squid.
