Ko Chik Nok
History
Ko Chik is in Bang Chan Subdistrict. The island piloted a hybrid renewable-energy project using solar power and generators to supply electricity to about 100 households, with electricity billed on a prepaid basis. Most residents work in fishing, fish farming, and dried-shrimp production. To get there, take Sukhumvit Road to the three-way junction for the Ko Chang Ferry pier and turn right toward the pier. Then turn right toward Ao Krapong and continue to Ao Krapong Pier, where vehicles can be parked before taking a boat across to the island.
