Kathu Shrine

History
Alongside statues of various Chinese deities, Kathu Shrine has a statue of Guanyin dressed in white, with a serene, full face and a red mark on the forehead. Her right hand holds a holy-water flask and her left hand makes a blessing gesture. She stands on a dragon base. The statue is regarded as a beautiful example of Chinese deity sculpture and is deeply revered by visitors.
