Doi Mae Salong

History
Doi Mae Salong is home to Santi Khiri Village, formerly called Ban Mae Salong Nok. It became a settlement for former soldiers of China’s 93rd Division who migrated from Myanmar. From December to February, the cool season, nang phaya suea khrong (wild Himalayan cherry), described as the smallest sakura variety, blooms along the route up the mountain.
