Ban Sam Chong Tai (Village No. 8) and Ban Sam Chong Nuea (Village No. 9), in Kalai Subdistrict, are traditional fishing villages where residents lead a simple way of life. Most residents are Muslim, and the community has developed the villages into a mangrove conservation tourism destination in Phang Nga.
