Khlong Ta Luean Water Lily Stream
History
Taluean Mee Saeng, known locally as the “guardian of Thai water lilies,” owns a rubber plantation crossed by a small stream where the lilies grow densely. He says they were already growing there in his parents’ time and that he has continued to conserve them in the stream around his home. The stream became widely known among local residents and conservation researchers as Khlong Ta Luean.
